Mid suffolk,(new member)Have I seen a buzzard soaring over suffolk today,we are in an isolated hamlet???I do not suppose it was a kite as I think kites are more slender?
Welcome to Wild about Britain mfrere.
It is more than possible that you have seen a Buzzard in Suffolk, they are moving east as a breeding bird very successfully. I live on the Cambridge/Essex boarder and they have been breeding in this area for several years now.
Next time you see a large bird of prey have a look at the tail, the Red Kites is forked while the Buzzards is Square.
