| | | Brand New Goldies Isn't it good to see the latest generation of birds arriving at the feeders. Here's my newest visitor, a very young Goldfinch, enjoying sunflower hearts, under the watchful eyes of it's parents, a few feet away on the fence.
Welcome to the world little fella.

Welcome to the world little fella. | Nice one Jules. I have loads of Goldfinches at the feeders most days but haven't seen any youngsters yet. Hope they put in an appearance

| | | Re: Brand New Goldies Its nice when mum and dad bring their offspring for a visit. That is most of the time except when junior is a seagull!!!!!!!!!!
Next door feeds the gulls so last year a pair brought their youngster to show it where the free food was. It stayed all summer and squawked all summer long... it is a very irritating noise and the mess! well that's another story!
At the moment there is a fledgling robin in my garden. Mind you when I get the camera he disappears!
