British Robin Monogynous?

We are lucky enough to have a pair or Robins and their young nesting in a peg bag hanging on our washing line. Cute but we can't hang any washing out!

My question is whether anyone knows if Robins mate for life and do they tend to return to the same place each year (if so I better get another peg bag LOL)

I am not to sure; I know they split up for the winter and hold separate territories in most cases, but whether they both return to the same breeding territory and pair up again the next season I don’t know.
