| | | Bird id's from Perthshire please. Just got back from a fantastic fortnight in Perthshire, Scotland.
Really, really, really didn't want to come home!
Saw loads of wildlife (lots of 'firsts') which I'll recount later but for now here's some birds that I can't positively id. Any help appreciated!
(1) Is this a female Wheatear? Taken near Loch an Daimh in Glen Lyon.
(2) I guess this is a heinz variety but any clues as to it's parentage? On Loch Tay.
(3) Goosander? On the river Tay near Aberfeldy.
(4) Robin sized, near Loch Kinardochy.
(5) Saw several of these in several locations, near Loch an Daimh, Loch Kindardochy and generally on upland areas. Sparrow sized.
Finally, (6) This huge fella flew passed our cottage in Glen Lyon, it's wingspan was about a sheeps length and a half (5 - 6ft), sorry, it's all I had to compare it to and by the time I grabbed my camera it was a few hundred yards away. Could it possibly be a golden eagle?

4. Absolutely no idea, willow warbler?!?
5. Tree pipit (streakier than Meadow?)
6. Possibly, or Buzzard?
Take care,

I can't be a lot of help but I think you're right with female wheatear for no 1 and I think no 5 looks like a meadow pipit.
I'm sure some of the real birders will be able to help more soon!

As for the 'Greater Blur' that's probably the best I'm gonna get! I guess it'll just be one of those 'I wonder if' ones

I'm not sure it was completely next to it, it was taken at a long distance but it may give some idea of size
