A kingfisher from the other day. Waited for ages to get this guy.

what a great picture, you are very lucky I've not seen any near us lately, unless all the extra activity from the recently opened bikers, walkers, horse riders etc track has made their usual 'patch' a bit too busy

that is indeed a beauty,i feel a bit like the ad where the bloke is waiting for the panda to come out and as soon as he turns his back it's there behind him,i've sat in the same spot for 5 hours where one is seen regularly and nothing or i arrive five minutes after they have scarpered.
but i've got plenty of time they can't hide from me forever
