Lapwing @ Woodbridge (I,m confused)

I recently saw a Lapwing tapping the ground, hutning etc.
I,ve seen them before but never at woodbridge until this time. Is it unusual to see them in the south east??

There have been a pair displaying at Landguard, Felixstowe , if they breed there it will be the first time since the fifties

Though a declining breeding species in the southern half of the country they are still a fairly common sight in the southeast.
