| | | Re: First cuckoo I first hear (and I think, saw) a cuckoo last Saturday. I was out yesterday and heard the cuckoo several times.
I then spotted what I intially thought was a kestrel but then realised it was a cuckoo.
The sun was in, the bird was perched in the shade and my view was obscured.
This is the only shot that I kept.
I moved a bit closer but every shot was really out of focus. I think that some of the nearer foliage must have been in the way and fooled my camera (and me). Disappointing that I could not get better snaps, but still a thrill and a privilege.
