Four buzzards over house , unusual or not ?

Hi , we do get the occasional single buzzard quite high but to see four slowly circle was great , but is this normal? We live in small town between Blackpool and Preston so not out in the sticks really.
Cheers
Annmaria
With a bit of luck they could fly off with a few pesky cats

I've seen more around recently, coming back from Preston last week I saw one perched on the M65 exit sign.

Re: Four buzzards over house , unusual or not ?

I've seen more buzzards together quite recently. Until today the weather has been very nice and they seem to be picking up small thermals. It's interesting to see them suddenly rise without as much as a beat of their wings.

We get buzzards over our house. We are close to farmland. Have you got fields close by Ann.

Is it courting time? Perhaps that's the reason.

I quite often see two, three or four soaring around together down here in the South West. None today though, the weather is foul

Bet that was distracting , I have only seen them through binoculars and even then they were impressive .

Hi Kayleigh,
This little town is surrounded by farm land , strange we have only really noticed them ( one up to now ) in the last year or two, maybe we did not realize what we were looking at.

I thought my husband was being silly when he said that, do you really think they were sort of hanging out on a date , how romantic
