does anyone know when and where i can see turtle doves, they seem to elude me every year and i am still yet to see one. im i bucks if that helps |

I always catch up with them in north Norfolk, around places like Titchwell and Thornham. I have also seen them in Lincolnshire, where a pair nested in a hawthorn right above our tent on a campsite we stayed at just north of Horncastle.

I've seen them at Alice Holt Forest in Surrey but it was a few years ago, they may still be around - I've just not been back since then so can't vouch for it  |

there is a few places near me.. i'm in kent tho.. i love the sound of there call.. or churring.. really a soothing sound of summer.. this is also the best way to find them... james |

RSPB sites...
Garston Wood; Shaftesbury, Dorset.
Northward Hill; Hoo, Kent.
Fowlmere; Royston, Hertfordshire
Cliffe Pools; Rochester, Kent.
This dove will be found most often in South-east England in woodland, hedgerows etc
