Hi
i thought i would share my thoughts and some shots about these cool birds on the forum and a good place to go if you you want to see them up close.
Ilike the red kite for a few reasons. Thier nice red colour and the distinctive tail feathers. But one of the main reasons i like them (i know this is not true but its my thoughts) is thier welshness, i dont know why but ive seen people regard them as welsh birds. This isnt a bad thing though! its just another edition to the ever growing list of welsh awesomeness
Red kites are a bird of prey, eating small mammals and young birds but they will also scavenge and eat carrion.
Gigrin farm
Red Kite Feeding Station - Gigrin Farm![/url] is a feeding station for kites, in summer they feed around 3pm and in winter 2pm. To see around 40 odd red kites in thier red plumage diving among masses of crows to take the fresh meat that has been thrown out (apparently its fit for human consumption

) is truly amazing. i would reccommend gigrin farm you are garanteed to see something even if you come late.
heres a few shots i got there.
