Geese?

I was just lookin out of my window when four birds flew past. I'm on the 3rd floor and they flew past just below my eye level. They looked like geese to me. Goose sized anyway. The first two looked pale maybe buffy sort o colour, when the next two flew past I noticed their wings wer very distinctive. The tops of them were white and had wide black borders to them, where the ends of the feathers are. They flew fast and straight with rapid wing beats. Anyone out there that can tell me what they were? The only geese I know are canada geese. But these didn't have any black markings to the head. Well, not that I noticed anyway.. They wer moving pretty damn quick, so obviously I didn't manage to get a picture.

The other Common Goose that comes to mind is Greylag. You will find plenty of photos in the waterfowl Gallery in the birds section to compare with what you saw.

Probably aren't Greylags but the waterfowl Gallery would be a good place to start looking.

Found em'! They wer Egyptian Geese! Theres an excellent photo in the Gallery which was taken at the exact same angle I saw them at! I could of taken that picture myself.... If i'd had my camera ready...
