| | | name the bird When I sometimes stay at my boyfriends house some mornings at 5:30am when Iam getting ready for work I hear this strange bird.. it seems to make noises as if its coping something it repeats the sound twice then changes into a different sound which it repeats twice, kinda like car alarms and coping other birds.. any idea as to what it could be?? |

Could be a song thrush, they repeat their phrases. Also could be just a blackbird  |

| | | Re: name the bird It could be a starling, they copy all sorts of things, back when I was working on holton heath in '01 there was a starling that started copying the ringtones of our mobiles.

| | | Re: name the bird I have heard of starlings coping sounds before but I dunno, the quality of the sounds could pass for a song thrush I suppose as ive seen them in the trees outside the house before.. |

If it does it is a Green Finch.
Oh btw there is a sound department in the gallery , you might find you bird sound there, it's well worth a look and listen any how
