This was a temporary measure which seems to have become permanent. I found some old net curtains inthe airing cupboard, cut them into strips and attached them top and bottom to the window. I know it looks bad, but we're used to it now and if it stops birds getting confused by the reflections, so be it. They move about in the wind and since then, touch wood, nothing has happened. We do have the odd bump from the side windows as they misjudge slightly, but nothing terrible has happened thank goodness.

| | | Re: It happened AGAIN! I live in a cul-de-sac and on Saturday afternoon I was talking to a neighbour at my front door when a saw something flying past about waist height and then heard a thud. I went to investigate and found a juvenile wood pigeon lying on the floor on its front, it's head was moving slightly. I picked it up but by the time I had walked back to my house it died in my hands. It was ever sad. The large window it had flown into had the beige curtains drawn. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
