Seagulls mating

Hi folks,

Caught some nookie on the beach in Cornwall whilst down there camping near Penzance.
These gulls were caught 'at it' on Praa Sands!

The Male waiting for my fish & chips and because he wasn't getting any, he went to a nearby female and decided to get something else!

Oi! Get off me, i'm waiting for fish and chips!

Oh, not again, you always want me when im hungry for something else!

Another Seagull caught in flight and acting as a sunshade.

Seagull offsprings....on the cliff edge at the Lizard

Hope you like them
regards
Rich

Re: Seagulls mating

Hi Rich, welcome to WAB! Like the pics, love the captions. keep 'em coming!!!!
Those pics bring back fond memories of my youth, with yearly visit to cornwall being one of the highlights of the year! Oh if only I'd have taken more note of the wildlife back then.

Re: Seagulls mating

Hi,

And thanks, i had a few more chances for some great shots, but being the car it was difficult, with one chance of a Buzzard flying hedge top height down the side of the car carrying its kill beneath it. This is the first time i've seen this before and the kill looked odd too, black and white and the size of a Guinea Pig with something dangling from it!! No chance of getting the camera up in time unfortunately. Still can't think what the kill was either but the Buzzard flew so close it was over in a few seconds.

The mating pics where not the only ones, they were also at it on the Lizard ten to the dozen! They seem to go through a ritual first of rubbing themselves up and down one another, with the male making a weird noise then he wastes no time and humps the female for a few seconds and then gets off, flies away and leaves her to it!

Rich
