Tich I can't remember what camera you are using but if it's a DSLR put it on AV mode, set the aperture value somewhere between f5.6 and f8.0 this would depend on what lens you are using. Set the ISO speed to 400. Set the focus mode to A1 servo if it has it and set the shooting mode to continous.
Get the subject in focus and just hold the shutter button down and try to follow the action as smoothly as possible.
These are just general settings and would depend on available light to get a fast enough shutter speed to freeze the action which has been done very well on this one

| | | Re: Dont Miss This inflight Siskin !!!!!!!!! Great flight shot Lippy113 .....
Good pose, Great Detail, Excellent D.O.F background colour blends nicely with the Siskin .....
We can see that your enjoying your Photography and the birds, this is your best image so keep up the excellent work...
Most birds will fly from cover ( tree/shrub ) to the feeder similar route time and time again so....
Try this.....
Push a pole/stick close to the feeder 300/400mm away between feeder and cover..
At the same height as the feeder tape ( gaffer Tape ) some Teazel to the pole and put some Niger in the Teazel...
Keep the Teazel heads level with feeder so they can easily go from one to the other...
Then take your Photograph's from the same angle, same background etc...
Good Luck look forward to your results....

Have sat here with it on my screen and blanked off the bottom just to the top of the yellow feeder base and wondered if you have done the same and how you feel about it?
