| | | Re: A Twitchers day out Did you go the long way around Davy. If you did you missed the treat of walking through water that was six inches or more deep. You also missed the treat of standing in it. 
Stonking bird though isn't it. Possibly one of the nicest looking birds I have seen on British soil.

We only had walking shoes on and my better half was not up for wading through the water, she's far more sensible than I.
It's a lovely bird and I think we were very fortunate to have seen it.
Minsmere is a great place, we always see something special when we go there.

After almost suffering hypothermia last weekend sounds like you've risked trench foot on your latest excursion  But full credit to you John for pursuing your interest with such passion and dogged determination
