| | | birds in your garden What birds have you had in your garden while you have been there? We have had goldcrests, red kites, barn owls (there is a nest across the road ), a merlin, a heron, little owls, redstart and spotted flycatchers! Beat that! |

| | | Re: birds in your garden Hello Know I cant beat that but when I moved here 16 months ago it was so many months before we even saw a sparrow but now the garden has been planted out shrubs, trees etc its changed., also ive got quite a variety of seeds and peanuts. Now we see sparrows, dunnocks, robins, wrens, blackbirds, starlings, greenfi nches, goldfinches, siskins, chaffinchs, collared doves, pidgeons, blue tits, great tits.long tailed tits, magpies, rooks, sea gulls, I think ive got them all, im more than happy as there is always a bird somewhere in the garden, unless its torrential rain. |

| | | Re: birds in your garden Hello again leifus, Yes it was this morning we had the first 2 siskins male/female, I did have to get the bird book out quick as ive never seen siskins before and they are quite alot smaller than I thought they would be, they were eating nyjer seed with the other finches. I was truly pleased to see them, they also came back this afternoon. Kayleigh your not doing too bad either with your good selection of different birds. Good for you. |

| | | Re: birds in your garden I've just moved our niger feeder away from our main feeding station to see if any goldfinches arrive. This was recommended by hank (another member). I'll keep you posted. I would type out the whole list of birds in my garden but I just can't be bothered - I'd be here for hours making sure I hadn't missed any. Bird of the day for me has been a yellowhammer sitting in front of a background of dark cloud. Very yellow!
Thanks

Mallards return yesterday on the first day of spring | Hey Jez, I'm intrigued by these Wild Turkeys! I remember you posting these some months ago, how many have returned? They are obviously evading the Foxes + people with an eye for an Easter roast. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
