Song or Mistle Thrush...

Saw between eight and ten of these birds walking across the playing fields in the local park..If you go early enough in the morning they always seem to be in the same spot..would love to know which Thrush they are..

Looks like Mistle thrush to me, the spots on a Song thrushes breast are more like upward pointing arrowheads.
Whereas in your picture they are more like irregular blobs.

No doubt its a Mistle Thrush as said above Song Thrush spots are more arrow shaped as to the rounded shape on the Mistle nice pic by the way

Thanx Bill...its the only shot of these guys ive been able to get so far..So does that mean the other Thrush sitting up high in the tree tops singing away is the Song Thrush..?

They're lovely they are. I've only ever seen song thrush.

Both thrush species will do this.
