We have just seen the following bird in our garden: 
It had a green ring on and we can't work out was it is from any of our books, any ideas?

we wondered if it was a canary, the wing tips and tail confused us though. Here is a clearer picture: 
is it definitely a canary, that's quite sad, someone has lost a pet.
