| | | Grey Herons I was going to post a message to test everyone's ID skills but WAB is full of so many clever wildlife experts, I do not think these photos would have presented much of a challenge  .
Er, this one was clearly having a bad day  ....
.... and this one obviously has a stiff neck  ....
Here are some more conventional Grey Herons ....
All photos were taken at Verulanium Park in St Albans, Hertfordshire where there is a heronry on an island in the middle of the main lake. This provides some excellent opportunities for photographing what can be a very wary bird.
