| | | Reed Buntings Does anybody else get them in the Garden feeding on bird seed? we do every year for a period between March and June and somethings during the winter, they have recently returned in the last couple of days  |

| | | Re: Reed Buntings I had my one and only garden one this time last year. A tough nut it was too. Positioning itself in the centre of the bird table, keeping all else at bay. I hope it comes back this year.

| | | Re: Reed Buntings We get them in the reeds where I work, but at this time of year I've noticed they move around a hell of a lot. I've seen them in grassland habitats, scrub and woodland.
I know they are by no means restricted to reedbeds, but given the name and where they nest is does seem weird to see them move around so much. |

| | | Re: Reed Buntings I've watched mine after they've been here and followed them with the bins going to a reeded area about a quater of a mile away, which they make in around 10-20secs  at one point during breeding last year we had 3 males at once! |

| | | Re: Reed Buntings I must admit that for most of the year I don't get them but for the first two months of the year I usually get a male Reed Bunting on my tables.
I have had a female as well on a couple of occasions, and also on a couple of occasions I had a male outside of the normal period visit me in in April and in September.
