| | | Black Grouse in the Peak District I can't remember whether or not I have asked this question on here before, but does anyone know how the Black Grouse release programme is going in the Derwent valley in the Peak District?
I was watching some in Yorkshire yesterday and it got me wondering. The Peak District is probably closer for me if I want to see them more easily in the future.

| | | Re: Black Grouse in the Peak District After a bit of research, they seem to be doing alright, certainly up to 2006 anyway, with a lek established and few sucessfully hatched chicks. Rather vague I know, but seems fairly encouraging.
