| | Am I too late!? Hi I'm new here,
I Live in London and love to attract birds.... but I Have competition. My neighbour 2 gardens away attracts ALL the birds ... blue tits, wrens, robins the lot. I Have only one feeder and using a Robin mix from Pets at home. Including meal worms insects and a range of seeds. I Have the odd occasion of a robin ... blackbird... blue tit... blackcap every couple of days.
But would love to attract more! It's not that I Don't want to have all the birds to myself ... because my neighbour loves birds.. but I Would like to help them more because she has only the one feeder.
I Have recently bought this feeder: Click Here!
Along with this! Clicky Clicky!
Is it any good.. and good ideas of attracting more birds!?
I Have had a box up for a few years and found alot of sparrows and blue tits trying to get in.. but the hole isn't big enough...
Took it down and... it broke.. so my neighbour (who works with wood) is fixing it up and making a better hole.
Sorry if its a bit much writing.. heh.

| | | Re: Am I too late!? Thats a good start. Just keep feeding them and be patient, they will soon to realise you have food in the garden.
You may not attract the birds away from your neighbours garden but gain new birds for your garden and area.
Peanut feeders and sunflower hearts go down very well with most birds |

| | | Re: Am I too late!? It's been up a couple of years... I Want to move it.. because it might not be in the right place. But I Live on a corner... (so the street is down our side) and its the most protective place I Can think of.
But I Just found out... why birds haven't been looking at it to well.
A Spiders nest and a spider was found...
also because the hole is a bit small.. so no bird can get in. |

The feeder looks good. My only advice is if you want to attract a large selection of bird species and larger numbers of each im afraid that means a larger number of feeders and food.
I see you have bought the food selection which is great , maybe think about a purely nut feeder, a feeder to hold fat balls, seed , apples, mealworms, soaked raisins etc scattered on the ground for the ground feeders, fat cakes, coconut, millet seed in a feeder, sunflower hearts although dear seem to be the best attractant and please please dont forget WATER ! some kind of dish of fresh water or better still a bird bath or wildlife pond!...and be patient.
