| | | Two birdie questions I saw two crows or they could have been jackdaws chasing a starling. The poor starling was zigzagging across the sky with the crows in close pursuit . Is this normal behaviour
And two blue tits were checking out the robin box. They went in side then came out a few times. Would they nest in an open front nest box. |

| | | Re: Two birdie questions Crows chasing Starlings is a site I've seen regularly, also Rooks or Black-headed Gulls chasing Starlings.
The Starling will enter a garden to feed and pick up some food and fly to nearby to eat it. Larger birds that will maybe not enter the garden often sit around waiting to pounce once a smaller bird has taken some food. Hence the chase, most times the Starling will evade the chasers.
Blu Tits dont tend to nest in open boxes, but it isnt unknown.
