| | | Dipper Yesterday I took a return trip out to Plymbridge and as promised managed to get a slightly better shot of the dipper..
The light was awful, so the shutterspeed was slow and aperture was large .. I am determined to get an even better shot and it is always a place worth visiting so I shall return. |

| | | Re: Dipper nice pic stomp. They're quite common here, however, very hard to get a good pic of, you've inspired me to head off dipper hunting on saturday now....as long as there's no snow.

| | | Re: Dipper That's a really nice contextual shot Stomperone - showing the bird in its typical habitat, and aren't they just fantastic birds to watch - one of my favourites in fact
Last summer I spent a 'one to one' day with young Pro Wildlife photographer Ben Hall photographing Dippers in the Peak District of Derbyshire. We had a superb day with countless sightings and many birds approaching almost too close to focus!
Ben runs annual Dipper 'workshops' (check out his website by just 'googling' Ben Hall) and I'd certainly recommend them to anyone with an interest in these birds.
Here's one of my best shots from the day I had with him -
