| | | Re: A few from the Bigma (Sigma 50-500mm lens I had one Goldfinch a couple of weeks ago (haven't seen any for months), took one shot as I was a bit slow (as usual), thought it was great till I enlarged it and saw movement in the bill area. (Not good lighting). Still it wouldn't be any fun if it was easy Roger.

GME I was well pleased with the second Starling shot. you need to catch them just right to show of the iridescence in the plumage

| | | Re: A few from the Bigma (Sigma 50-500mm lens another fine selection Roger, there's nothing wrong with your Bigma.
My feeding station isn't really producing the goods at the moment, I think it's the mild weather. I get a reasonable selection of birds but they only pop in for a few mins at a time and then disappear for an hour or two. Unfortunately I haven't got the time at the moment to wait for them!

My feeding station is very busy. It's rare to look and not see at least three or four Goldfinches at any time of the day, Starlings by the dozens and good numbes of Blue Tits, Great Tits, Greenfinches, House Sparrows, Collared Doves and Blackbirds The Coal Tits are very sporadic, one day they are there and then they don't show for up to a week.
One bird I aren't getting is Chaffinch, don't know why as there are plenty around but they just don't seem to like my feeding station
Long -tailed Tits pass by but have only called in once ages ago

Roger | Can't, the Blue Tits go berserk when they see them and drive them off! Chaffinches coming out my ears though!
