| | | Re: Wild fowl ID They look very much like those old wildfowl community favourites, the mallard crossbreed. Two drakes, probably out of the same brood due to their similarity. |

| | | Re: Wild fowl ID My first reaction was "yuck ducks", but Gill may be on to something, as it would be unusual for two wild mallard/domestic duck hybrids to look so similar to one another. |

| | | Re: Wild fowl ID sorry I have looked myself because i love that site and I use it to induldge my chicken and duck envy and I reckon they are buff ducks or buff orpingtons - not manky but pedigree don't you know! |

| | | Re: Wild fowl ID I think you're right on that one. The beaks look bluer Bombus's photo, but that could just be the lighting. |

| | | Re: Wild fowl ID I'd still go for Buff Orpington. If you see the last adult drake on this page http://feathersite.com/Poultry/Ducks/Buffs/BRKBuff.html then it actually has a blue beak like the one in Bombus's photo.
Not much in them, though. |

| | | Re: Wild fowl ID One of the many domesticated Mallard offshoots. If you look at the tail it curls up, but only on the males. That will tell you it's a flavour of Mallard.
