rspb guildford help please !!!!!

please is there anyone here from surrey that can tell me anything about the RSPB in Guildford High Street tomorrow ...i was told there was something going on from 10 till 4 but dont know exactly what or where ....and as its nr me i may be able to get there on the bus, .... without involving my friend trese who hates anything to do with wildlife !!!! it would be soooo lovelythank you

Pampering is the order of the day, when the RSPB bring their special chill out zone to Guildford High Street for Big Garden Birdwatch.

The team will be on hand with comfy sofas, hot drinks, and celebrity bird-feeding recipes to help people enjoy the world’s largest bird survey in style.

Hester Phillips, of the RSPB, said: 'What better way to get through January than pampering yourself while you do your bit for nature? Big Garden Birdwatch is something people can take part in from the comfort of their homes and have a bit of fun along the way. That's why we'll be donning our dressing gowns and slippers, and showing Guildford how to get the most out of the weekend – for themselves and for the birds.'

The laid-back birders will be outside the Guild Hall between 11 am and 4 pm, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 of January.

quick update ...bit late i know ...but a lady from Pulborough RSPB left a message for me on my answerphone (which i failed to notice)and she said it was just a couple of younger members handing out leaflets so nothing to get excited about .....but now you are telling me of comfy sofas ...hot drinks etc ....would of been worth the treck just to have someone make me a hot drink for once still i am prepared for next yr ...Marion

No problem we don`t live that far from Guildford but hate all the traffic etc around Hindhead so tend to head south.Maybe they were just handing out leaflets and the website was wrong.Like you say at least you know for next year.
