It looks like a juvenile Cormorant to me no doubt someone else will be along to confirm or change my view ,nice pic by the way well done

the brown is what threw me. But the white mouth patch does suggest comorant. Thanks everyone |

Cormorant I think. I think the yellow at the base of the bill is much more pronounced in the cormorant (if there at all in the shag)
