Certainly looks like a Common Gull (Larus canus) to me.

Cheers. Im not sure how to tell it apart from other gulls exactly. Ill go with common gull. It certainly looks most like one of them as you say. A first definate common gull for me  |

It is in the Winter plumage - the ring-like mark on the bill gave rise to my recent misidentification of this bird for a Ring-billed. I'm sure its a Common, though the legs look pale. This may just be the winter colouration though... |

Cheers. The leg colour may be my camera struggling at full zoom in the bright sun, resulting in a washout of the colour. Thanks for the IDS everyone |
