| | | Help ID goose I saw a lonesome goose yesterday in the park in Hull. It was swimming amongst greylags and Canada geese, but they didn't like its company and the Canada goose attacked it. It was much smaller than both species and quite nervous, swam away when it realized I was taking photos. Any idea of what is it?
Sorry about the poor photo quality! |

| | | Re: Help ID goose Hi Big Bill, yes, there are actually two greylags in the photo (foreground in the picture where they are swimming), my mystery goose is swimming behind the first greylag, its got a darker hue and a short beak, with black tip and dark pinkish middle bit. It is much smaller than the greylags. It does not have pale fringes in its back feathers... |

| | | Re: Help ID goose Definitely a pink-footed goose. The other two in the 2nd picture are indeed graylags, so you can compare. |

| | | Re: Help ID goose ok, so I had to go into the unidentified section to find the photos. Have you all had to do that or were there links in this thread. If they were they weren't coming up on my screen.
Pink-footed Goose for definite.
