Hi Africa; I had the same thing recently, a single Pink Foot was looking for company in a flock of Greylags and they kept snapping at it whenever it got close, poor thing.
Certainly looks like Pearson Park to me Coasty, small world an all that.

| | | Re: Help ID goose Yes, it is old Pearson Park pond, which after a stint last year in which, due to some leakage it was almost empty for a few months, and looked in a truly pitiful state, has been filled and is now back to its former glory At the moment you can see there:
A family of moorhens (with what seems like a few young of last year). Amazingly, they seem to manage to breed every year now in that desert island in the middle.
Greylags and Canada geese, mallards common gulls, and that's about it!
The wildlife garden is worth visiting every time. The hazel is flowering and the snowdrops have emerged. I look forward to spring when the frogs and newts return to the pond, faithfully followed by small flock of photographers! Last summer we had a fantastic population of ringlets. There is always something new in this little corner of the park! |
