| | | Re: Help! I've got an injured bird that's been mauled by a cat! PLEASE HELP! I can't seem to post my thread, I am a new user. I have a bird that my caught and have had it for 24 hours, RSPCA won't come despite being called 1000 times, vets won't take it.
I don't even know what breed it is, it looks like a Pigeon but it's beak is too long and too dark to be a Pigeon.
It's lasted the night and is eating but I don't know what to do with it.

I have found if you phone the vets its easy for them to "say" no to helping, but if you hand it in to them then they should tend it.They may put you in touch with someone who can care for it till its better. As been said before they shouldnt charge for wildlife.

ellen | The vet will probably put it to sleep, they will not give anti biotics if they are not getting money for it at least it has a chance if given time. |

A gentle hint - you might see that that the post is nearly three years old. The date is on the top left hand of the green bar above the post. Apologies if you knew that. |
