| | | Re: Todays task.. We were in 2 minds whether to go to Rufford or Clumber, and in the end went to Clumber - we had the whole park to ourselves almost!!
Loads of chaffinches, a few robins, and several million Canadian Geese were there to greet us!! |

Anyway, love the Coot shots Graham - personally, I always prefer contextual/activity shots and these certainly are interesting.
As for your visits to Rufford, when you hit that 10,000 post mark (within the next week or so? ) I suggest that the WAB powers that be consider appointing you 'Lord Graham of Rufford' - I'm sure we could have a whip round on WAB to buy a Lordship

But Dad (Fourwings) has!

| | | Re: Todays task.. Hey Dunlin visit my website - All of the bird pictures on there are done with a sigma same goes for the portraits and landscapes ...
I guessed your comment was done tongue in cheek to wind up some other members I see it so many times on other photography forums..
The only complaint about my sigma is that it is not fast enough but to get a faster lense I have to invest 3x as much which personally I cannot warrant.. but it doesnt stop me wanting one
I am really pleased with the results from my sigma
A good set of pics graham - gonna look at your album now
Pete

| | | Re: Todays task.. Lord Graham - I like that. Some kind of honour (a knighthood?) is required for services to wildlife photography. I am surprised that Sigma have not placed you on a retainer for showing off the potential of their kit!
Very very good.

Julie | My Robin puffs himself up as soon as he takes guard of the food. He doesn't allow any other bird to get any, although he sometimes chases one off only for the others to nip in whilst he's away..he's not so smart after all!
Really he's a perfectly normal Robin, honest!
He is a delight to see though. I've had him land on my shoulder and Linda has had him eating from her hand. He'll often hop right to your feet. We can't get enough of him! |

No I don't sell them, yet! I've just joined an organisation to upload my shots to, which I hope may in due course lead to the odd sale or two, with a lot of luck and a good wind behind them! |

If people enjoy looking at my pictures, then that makes the effort of getting them and uploading them worthwhile. |

Lord Graham of Rufford... I like it!!
The whip round wouldn't need too much, just something to bribe Stu with! |

| | | Re: Todays task.. Missed this thread Graham, apologies. Love that 3rd shot, but theyre all very good. Nice exposure on the Coot shots, black birds against pale water are always a struggle, more so Coots as you overexpose to get feather detail and the white crown and beak often blows out.You managed to expose both perfectly, very impressive
