| | Baby wrens ! Hi , still fairly new to the site and its fair to say you all know lots more than me...I am not A Birder but they still fascinate me. I hope you all don't mind but all your pics are helping with my hobby of sculpting birds. My birds improve an awful lot with good clear photos , I can not copy the picture as an awful lot of my own ideas take over ( if any one minds i will understand )
Any way I have included a pic of my latest wren, the adult bird is ok but the babywrens may not be so accurate , if any one has any tips it would help a lot.
sorry I do not know how to put my pic on, or maybe I am not allowed yet with being a new member..
Thankyou

| | | Re: Baby wrens ! That is really lovely and you are obviously very talented. I can't advice you on the young Wrens as I generally don't like to approach nesting birds so rarely see them but someone will shortly.

| | | Re: Baby wrens ! Thankyou Ron I am quite proud of it , but its not real talent I still need to copy. I am desperately trying to think of what unusual things birds do...I have my first exhibition this year . I don't care if I don't sell one I will be happy as long as know one says what a load of rubbish, as I know bird people will want the right plumage etc .
Cheers

Don't know if this will help but I took some film of baby wrens. It's on my wildlife online diary.
If you click on the post called "baby birds - we can't resist them" posted on 13 December 2007. It shows fledgling wrens, just out of the nest climbing up reeds by the side of a lake.
They do have some very interesting traits... the punk hairstyle for a start!
Hope this helps, let me know.
Jane

No idea about baby wrens, but I'm sure somebody out there does and will answer your questions very soon!
Good luck with the exhibition, and enjoy the site

| | | Re: Baby wrens ! Thanks Julie Jam , in truth not all of them work out but once i start the time flies by, so I will keep on ...have a few kingfishers but each one looks so different , I think in the main they keep their heads quite flat but an awful lot of pics show them with rounded heads . Not knowing enough about birds means the angle of a photo can lead you up the garden path. Anyway I am going on to much .
By the way I like your name I have two sisters and when we were kids I used to call my big sis Julie ' Jue Drop'
