| | | stonechats.. on the medway i've been covering my local patch for years and am a keen birwatcher.. so usually notice anything unusual.. so have been avidly watching a pair of stonechats along river bourne this winter... in all my years of walking this river i've never seen them.. now, everytime i go walking they are there they follow u along like robins.. absolutely beautiful bird.. only ever seen them in devon before, just wondered if anyone else see'd them in kent... james |

This species has benefited from recent mild winters + they seem to be in many places around London now- a few years ago mainly places like Rainham, Richmond + Bushy Parks; now they seem to be at every site I go to, which is wonderful as these birds are real delights. |

| | | Re: stonechats.. on the medway This lot were all seen on the same day, last November, at Oare Marshes in the morning and Elmley Marshes in the afternoon...
I've also seen them at Northward Hill, Crossness (near Thamesmead) and over the river at Rainham.
