red legged partridge.. on the roof!!

after a windy walk the other day was driving home thru my local housing estate and saws something i've not ever seen before.. a partridge on the roof of a house in the middle of a housing estate.. anyone else seen one in a similarly ridiculous place..... james

They do sometimes turn up in strange places, though I've yet to see one in a pear tree!!

They seem more adaptable than our native Greys.

We have a pair of partidges that fly into our Cul-De-Sac in the mornings pretty much every day. They walk around and seem to attack their own reflections in car doors. We do back onto fields though so are quite rural. I want to photograph them but they always seem to be on neighbours driveways and I don't want them thinking I am photographing their house

A red legged partridge has used the roof of my parents place as a song perch on more than one occassion and they're probably starting to think about breeding and pairing up
