A sticky situation

Nest building time gives me a lot of laughs.......watching greenfinches spend minutes picking a beakfull of doghairs only to go anad drop them all for one particularly appealing hair stuck between a crack........or a housemartin loosing 90% of its payload of grass on its way from the ground to the nest.......or 100% of it as its just about to enter the nest!

But those spider web collecting birds really make me smile.....the stuff is so sticky they shake their heads, twitch violently.....and go and get some more.
