I went there two weeks ago and had a great time. It's kind of a strange place, has the feel of half wildlife park/ half nature reserve but you'll see hundreds of birds.

At the end of the day we wandered down to the Ron Barker hide and it wasn't long before two Marsh Harriers put in an appearance. They hung around for a good half hour. As soon as they left a Peregrine turned up (my luck was in that day)

I'm told this is a good spot to see Kingfishers and I have heard (but never seen) Bitterns down there.

I'll be amazed if you don't enjoy your time there.
