| | | Help Not sure if I am in the right forum . Can anybody identify this bird for me. It has a redish brown colour on the top of the head and the wings seem the same colour as a sparrow. It looks a bit bigger than a sparrow and its breast is a lighter colour than the wings. The beak appears to be slender and pointed. It will eat from the fat ball and the nuts and appears to be a very aggressive towards other birds even bigger than itself. Any ideas.

| | | Re: Help Had look but not the linnet. The beak was thin not finch like and the was this reddish brown on the top of the head.

| | Re: Help Have now had a reply from the RSPB who looked at the photo and said it was a female blackcap that shouls have been in Africa or somwhere warmer. Well if she doesnot want to go I might have to go somewhere warm. Like Cornwall in February.
