Spring?

has anyone else noticed this weekend that a lot of birds seem to be getting into their breeding plumage already ,i noticed it especially with the reed bunting of which there were several dozens around the local feeding tables showing up in almost full bloom here is an example

same here though not that unusual my neibour has a collard dove sitting on eggs in his conifers
