| | | Starlings Looked out the kitchen window , Light flurry of snow it's 11.45 and there is upwards of 60 starlings on the back lawn , oh yes , and a woodpigeon.

| | | Re: Starlings funny you should mention starlings,i was just looking out my patio doors and there were eight starlings all eating my christmas dripping mix that i set in butter pots,every now and then they would have a squable going up in the air as they do,when a male blackbird joined them,they didnt attack him or their mates while the blackbird was there,my dripping from christmas has nearly all been eaten only put it out three days ago,greedy lot. |

| | | Re: Starlings I noticed the same thhis morning. They have eaten all of my homemade fat balls without letting any other bird get a look in. The cold weather seems to send them into a feeding frenzy. . .

| | | Re: Starlings Must agree, Starlng numbers are definitely up in our garden today. All feeding furiously on the home made fat balls and blocks. Other bird numbers seem about the same though.

| | | Re: Starlings Ive been getting a lot of Starlings lately plus the sparrows and blue tits...Starlings just love the fat balls and cheese...as mention before in another thread..some stay around alday..until the light goes..they can be abit noisey..but i love those lovely winter colours...
