| | | Re: mere report If the light there was anything like it was here today, you did really well to get any kind of shot. Well done with the Treecreeper, a bird that's very hard to capture at all.
As for you bird id, yes it's a Mallard. One of the many multi coloured/sized varieties. |

| | Re: mere report Nice pics - I have never seen a treecreeper - yet. I thought I saw one a while ago, but it turned out to be a nuthatch.
What camera are you using?

| | | Re: mere report Samsung GX 10 with a 300mm lens ,i have posted it as my bird of the day and i was rather fortuitous as i was on my way home when i saw it creeping up a tree (naturally). i wasn't sure if it was maybe a wren as i have seen them act similarly
but then i noticed the white flash and fired off a few frames of a very blurry bird and was incredibly delighted and would have given up then and there.but i decided to have ten minutes in the next hide and lo there it was again moving up the right side of the tree in reasonable light and not too quickly.which was nice ,took about 20 pics and got 5 reasonable that one being the best.
everything comes to he who waits eh? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
