| | | Can someone identify this bird of prey? Hi - I have this bird of prey that has made itself at home around my house. I have had various conflicting identifications but was hoping that someone with more expertise in this field may know?!
Thanks!

| | | Re: Can someone identify this bird of prey? yes, It's a lovely common buzzard. Looks like a juvenile, judging by the pale plumage on it's head and chest. Lovely |

| | | Re: Can someone identify this bird of prey? Yes, definitely a Buzzard. I've recently seen one at one of my local sites, Rufford Park. which was great news. Never before seen them anyway near, at least not at ground level.
A superb bird, there again I think they all are! |

| | | Re: Can someone identify this bird of prey? A buzzard it is .. I am lucky enough to see one more or less everyday on my way to work often within a few feet as it perches on a fence post next to the road/lane I have to travel through.
I always carry my camera on the seat next to me in the car but I have not had any luck yet as by the time i have stopped and picked up the camera the buzzard is flapping off into the distance..
I keep telling myself "one day".
I believe there is another BOP in the area as well but is smaller and darker I have not been lucky enough to get a good look at it yet. |

| | | Re: Can someone identify this bird of prey? Thanks everyone, it certainly makes iteself at home but does get hassled a lot by the crows. Doesn't seem to phase it though.
