sparrowhawk picnicing!

Hi everyone, back in november a sparrowhawk dined out on a starling in my back gardn i,ve finally managed to upload a picture, so here it is.

Dramatic picture. Always a mix of emotions seeing this- I regularly see them in my garden + have to say they are one of my favourites.

Must admit when i saw it happening i was both excited and thrilled but at the same time saddened for the starling, but one things for sure nature is fantastic!

Feel kinda sorry for the starling too, but the Sparrowhawks have got to eat

always a good sign that we are doing the garden feeding/foodchain thing right methinks

fantastic action picture even though it hurts to see,but as said befor its the food chain,we are no different its just we are at the end of the chain.

Great picture, nature is wonderful. I noticed the Starlings beak wide open, obviously very distressed although it was probably dead at this point.
