| | Waxwing Hi,
I was wondering if someone out there could help me?
Could anyone point me in the right direction to see Waxwings, I live in essex but I don't mind travelling a reasonable distance. If anyone could help I would be very grateful. And maybe I could return the favour in the future. |

| | | Re: Waxwing They are turning up all over at the moment. Best advise would be keep your eyes on any local birding websites for reports. But remember they move about so if there are reports be prepared to move. Otherwise they can turn up anywhere in cities, towns and countryside. But they do like a nice row of trees with lots of red berries....
Good luck
Andy

Where are you in Essex. If you are near to Pitsea there is always a good chance of seeing them in the market car park,in January.Keep an eye on Birdguides web page and southend RSPB pages. This pic taken 2 years ago in Pitsea market.

| | Re: Waxwing Barry,
That is one stunning photo , the composition is fantastic, it's like the traditional illustrations that you see in good bird books, Well done!
