4. That's not an easy one at all! The biggest problem is the lack of scale. I'm going to try female bullfinch. (Would that be a cowfinch?  )

| | | Re: 4 easy ones for ID 1 Magpie and Kestrel – Magpie’s black and white pattern along with the tail shape leave no doubts. The other bird is obviously a bird of prey long pointed narrow wing’s, especially at the base, give us a Falcon. The long tail with black tip and the general slim shape point me to Kestral.
2 Dunlin – the remains of the black belly patch along with the longish black downturned bill do it for me.
3 Jay – Pinkish-brown breast with white throat framed with black moustachial stripes. Heavy black bill with lighter base.
4 Long-Tailed Tit – not quit so easy methinks but I think the plumpish body shape pale beneath with just a tinge of reddish-brown and a long deeply forked black and white tail, black edges to wings. |
