Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Has anyone seen the reports of the Rose-breasted Grosbeak in Norfolk (Holme next to the water)? I was wondering if anyone lives near by and may see it or if anyone is planning a trip to see it?

Its an amazing looking bird, a rare bird here from North America, if you do a google search for the species you'll find some wonderful pictures.

Yes i saw that report.

Didn't it fly into someone's window or similar.

Had a look through all my books but couldn't find a pic of it.

Didn't think to google it.

I was staying not that far from there but decided not to go for it. I thought it might disappear and that is what it has appeared to have done. It was a 1st summer female that had crashed into a window then was taken intio care for a day. Apparently, so i heard, it had been feeding on a garden table for a while before it went into the window.

Here are some links into what the bird may have looked like.

Re: Rose-breasted Grosbeak

Lot of hooha on bird forum about this bird.

Lots of peeps saying Holme lost a good opportunity to make some money for conservation etc out of it.
