no i don't work for WWT but every time i go there i never fail to see something new or if not new better than anything before
here is a marsh harrier



nice male stonechat



a table full of tree sparrows whatever the collective noun is



and best of all female (i think ) buzzard

Nice photos- particularly like the Tree Sparrows.

I don't think you can sex the Buzzard from the photo as there are no obvious differences between them + plumage can be variable in this species. There isn't the obvious size difference which is obvious in some other raptors, though if you had a pair side by side, the female would probably be slightly larger.

Martin Mere - there is lots to see, not that far from me but not been for ages, will have to make a point of going next year when the weather is better. Wouldn't mind seeing and photographing the Tree Sparrows plus all the others.
There are at least three Buzzards around the Yarrow Valley, never got a decent photo yet but I live in hope.

Have been up to Martin Mere a few times and have been impressed by the place. Great to get the Tree Sparrows as they a rather scarce around these parts.

there were at least five buzzards around on saturday ,not that i can tell but i'm guessing could the one in the picture be a juvenile?.as for the tree sparrows ,on the same table last week there were about thirty but they cleared of just as i got set up
