| | | Re: peregrine Tursiops sees the peregrine by the bridge sometimes, you do know that there is always one sometimes two at Felixstowe docks
I was thrilled to see him perched on a crane down there
I am waiting for a red kite to move in the area, that would be great to see |

Park in the first layby after the bridge and watch from there, but also walk back along the river wall under the bridge to Fox's Marina, and check out the pylons - I saw two there a couple of weeks back, they were both perched on one of the pylons before they flew off. Good luck, and be patient. T2
PS. If you get there an hour or so before high tide you should get plenty of waders and the odd little egret, if nothing else

| | | Re: peregrine hi, i thought that i saw a peregine on hull docks about a month back but i could of been mistaken as it was at such a height. We had some peregine's in hull last year, on a high building, and as far as we are aware they had breaded. It attracted lots of attention!!!
I went to the location one day after work and actually saw it ravaging a piegon at height with feathers coming down everywhere. It was a great sight. i just wish i had my camera at hand. never mind i may get chance this year if they return. |

| | | Re: peregrine I have heard about this "Peregrines at the Orwell Bridge" thing for some time but never been lucky with any sightings.
Mind you, just driving over with the hope of a chance sighting must reduce the odds.
Thanks T2 for the more specific location details. I will bear this in mind next time the A12 from Essex takes me your way.

Richard | Quite. I'd say your chances of seeing one during the day, when they're out hunting, are about 50/50 at best. You'll have much better odds if you get there an hour before sunset and catch it/them when they come in to roost.
